About this plant

Camellia sasanqua flowers earlier than most camellias, opening its blooms from autumn into winter, when little else is in flower. It has glossy evergreen leaves and a looser, more graceful habit than spring camellias. It likes lime-free soil or ericaceous compost and suits borders, pots and sheltered walls.
